AT&T now owns Time Warner. Which is very bad. Here's why: AT&T have made no secret of the company's desire to build an ad revenue service to rival Google and Facebook. I have a huge problem with that and it's not just because the Federal laws governing Net Neutrality were removed earlier this week (which is troubling enough). My issue is that I currently pay between $180-$225 per month on average to AT&T for my family data plan; excluding my Google Drive storage, I pay Facebook and Google exactly nothing for their services. I think it's safe to assume that AT&T aren't now going to make my data plan free because they're serving me ads, so the incontrovertible truth is that AT&T are going to charge me to watch their ads and there seems to be very little I can do about it. https://lnkd.in/dwWtjWW #cablebroadband, #facebook #google #government …see more
