This piece confirms what I've felt for a long time. Data and models and the people who make and interpret them provide such an insanely PRECISE output, that people think they must be CORRECT. When instead they are wildy inaccurate, they rely on awful assumptions and don't account for many variables. These people are somehow claiming to be able to predict the precise number of people who will get Covid in each county in the USA for the next year. Reminds me of climate change models that somehow claim to predict the weather in 50 years time in each city.
