Have been asked for my take on the gay Oreo #proudparent ad (link in comments if you haven’t seen it.) Love the story. Moving + beautifully made. But, I went through this exact heart wrenching journey of coming out, seeking acceptance from parents, wanting nothing more than to be told, “we love you, you’re OK.” That feels... trivialized.
