89k people have "storyteller" in their LinkedIn bio, 55k in the US. Of those with #marketing in their title, nearly 6k describe themselves as a "storyteller." I was asked to weigh in on an interesting debate over this term (link in comments.) While I agree "storytelling" is a risky way to position #contentmarketing (it threatens to undervalue the function and may contribute to the marketing perception problem) I do know it's core to the responsibility. My take: Business value and storytelling are not mutually exclusive... What do you think?
