While Burger King is known for launching unconventional ad campaigns, this one seems surprisingly tone-deaf. The majority of McDonald's and The Wendy's Company locations are own by franchisees. Dunking on the misfortunes of SMBs is never a good look but it is an even worse idea given what is happening in the economy. Not to mention that when a property gets abandoned like this it drags down the morale of the community it's in.
