Was great to sit down with Jason Dunstone for his Square Holes podcast after my talk at the AMSRS conference last week in Sydney. We chatted about Netflix , Blockbuster , and how strategic leadership led the former to triumph over the latter (among other things). Oh, and I know the trope that “Netflix didn’t beat Blockbuster, they did it to themselves.” True, but also consider the fact that Blockbuster existed for decades before being forced to innovate.
