Hadn’t planned to take any pics today because I don’t fly camera ready... lol. But I had the craziest flight and wanted to share! Sat next to an older white man who asked me, “what do you do?” I’ve had a lil attitude all day and didn’t feel like talking but I was like, let me be polite so I answered “an attorney.” Then he was silent for 20 minutes until he finally said, “I’m sorry I keep staring at you, and I don’t mean to be awkward, but I’ve never seen a young colored attorney before.” Believe it or not we went on to a have a good, fruitful conversation about race, life, love and everything in between. But what a reminder of the need to do life with people who look, think, act and vote differently than us! I was super ready to write him off as racist (because he was also surprised I had manners 😂) and instead I made a new friend and got to share a little bit of #blackgirmagic with a man who apparently has never been exposed 🤷🏾‍♀️ …see more
