As this steaming garbage dumpster fire of a year draws to a close, I'm so glad I bought myself some insurance before it began. When I chose a 2020 day planner with the word "Blessed" on it, I couldn't have foreseen how necessary it would be to focus on that word every single minute of every day. Surviving the specter of COVID-19, staying afloat after being laid off, coping with isolation, year-end dental drama --through it all, I had a daily reminder that I am blessed. So for the new year, I've doubled down. I need some adventure in 2021. I hope to travel again, to someplace I've never been. And I'll always keep dreaming.
