My June 15th conversation with City of Fort Worth , Texas community activist Opal Lee is the highlight of my year so far. There’s nothing more sobering than having a Zoom Video Communications call with a 93-year-old woman who has more energy than you. Her wisdom, clarity, strength and purpose is incredibly uplifting, and her determination to have June 19th declared a national holiday in America is just what the doctor ordered for this nation’s current cycle of racial turmoil.
