I'm truly mystified by the way some people have responded to 16-year-old Greta Thunberg's impassioned #climatechange activism. Though I realize most of of the criticism is fueled by conservative talking points culled from Fox News, the level of patronizing dismissiveness--or pious concern about "that poor, mentally unstable child being exploited by adults"--leaves me wondering how limited their view of children's humanity must be.
