Who needs housing, or education, or food or healthcare when you can have missiles, bombs and brass? Trump released a $4.8 trillion budget proposal on Monday that includes deep cuts to student loan assistance, affordable housing efforts, food stamps and Medicaid. The White House has also joined a lawsuit brought by a group of Republican states that would seek to invalidate all of the Affordable Care Act. Meaning all you folks who have any sort of pre-existing medical conditions could be out of luck if you want insurance—of expect to pay a whole lot more than you do already. Just yesterday I spoke with Mom of 2 kids while at a cafe while in Maryland who told me they feel lucky paying $700.00/month for health insurance because that’s less than they used to pay pre-ACA.
