As Day 1 of The Aspen Institute #AspenIdeasHealthFestival begins, I can't help reflecting on the mind-boggling experience of co-facilitating a pre-Festival #IdeasIncubatorEvent . Not to get too giddy about it, but being privy to #globalhealth policy and practice discussions at this level is beyond astonishing to me! I was in the same incubator group as the Former Minister of Health for #Botswana and current Executive Secretary of the African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) Joy Phumaphi , among other high-profile participants! I helped develop the idea to support global #nursing and #midwifery that was presented to a distinguished panel including former Health Minister of #Rwanda Agnes Binagwaho and former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Dan Glickman! And today, I am roaming from venue to venue listening to brilliant minds share insights on urgent #healthissues like #reproductivehealth , #affordablehousing , #nurseentrepreneurship and #patientexperience .
