#Gender has a profound effect on access to #healthcare for #womenandgirls worldwide--and now American women are being faced with a momentous threat that will level the playing field in the most disastrous way possible. As #reproductivehealth and #reproductiverights are being attacked on a daily basis, we are realizing that whether you live in #NewYork or #Nairobi , the #patriarchy is determined to control our voices, our incomes, our safety and our power. Ahead of the June 3-6 Women Deliver International Conference, I vow to keep #genderequality , #genderequity and #genderjustice at the top of my list of priorities as a woman, a journalist and, yes, as an elder.
