Though I didn't get my visa in time to travel with photojournalist Nichole Sobecki to the #DemocraticRepublicofCongo , her profoundly powerful images from the scene of the world's second most deadly #Ebola outbreak have taught me so much about the inherent genius of National Geographic Magazine. I'm not shy about saying that I did a fine job of reporting from the front lines. But Nichole's amazing images telegraph more than I could have captured with twice as many words. I truly regret not being able to observe her at work.
