I’m grateful to Tony Mwebia of the #MenEndFGM organization for his New Year’s blogpost about a important summit that occurred in Nairobi last month. The meeting convened religious leaders’ and scholars from all the #FGM hotspot counties in #Kenya . I’m greatly encouraged by this report, and urge other countries to follow suit. These kind of high-level conversations will be critical in developing policies that will strictly punish this horrific practice.
