Almost ten years ago, I walked into the newsroom of Nation Media Group 's Daily Nation newspaper as an International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) Knight Health Fellow, tasked with nurturing better coverage of health care in #Kenya. I could tell hundreds of stories about the incredible peaks and valleys of my journey as a one woman mentor/trainer for hundreds of Kenyan journalists. All I'll say for now is that I'm humbled to think that my efforts may have contributed to the formation of an official #Science News Desk at Daily Nation.
