This terrific piece by Rebecca Root of Devex perfectly outlines the nexus between health and global development. Social and economic progress can only be attained when the majority of people are able to positively contribute to a country's functioning. It seems like such a no-brainer, and yet nations continue to debate the need for #universalhealthcare, and policies continue to be developed that are shortsighted and punitive when it comes to providing access to quality care.
