In Northern #Uganda, a region where women’s access to reproductive health and #familyplanning services was severely limited due to safety concerns and conflict, male mentors are helping to bridge the gap.  A hundred men in Acholi region have been trained by @CARE to advocate for family planning, by spreading awareness and counseling other men on the health and financial benefits of respecting their wives’ rights to help make decisions on when and how many children they have. And believe me--as someone who has traveled extensively throughout Northern Uganda, this is incredibly important news.
