I have really enjoyed attending the #discussCLT events organized by Charlotte Magazine and OrthoCarolina . The format has provided a great way for a relatively new Charlottean to learn about the key issues and concerns, and it's a great networking scene. Tonight's discussion is about "Navigating Non-Profits," a huge opportunity here in Charlotte. In the year since the protests around the police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott, so many of Charlotte's non-profits have been compelled to increase their outreach and efforts to address urgent problems. Speakers on tonight's panel were Mary Gallivan, MBA , VP and Director of the Centers for Giving at the Foundation For The Carolinas , Kelly Brooks of SHARE Charlotte , Josh Jacobson, CFRE , Managing Director of Next Stage Consulting, and Michael DeVaul, Chief Community Impact officer for the YMCA of Charlotte.
