It was wonderful hearing the velvet voice of Ray Suarez again at the "Telling Vital Stories" workshop. The former NPR "Talk of the Nation" host and Public Broadcasting Service "PBS Newshour" anchor is now a Visiting Professor at Amherst College , but his insights from decades of covering American life and urban policies provided journalists with lots of challenges to dig deeper and think harder about issues like poverty, affordable housing, socio-economic justice, unemployment, etc. Ford Foundation John S. and James L.
