Healthcare Deal Making: A Horse Of Another Color These days, we are seeing a lot of deal making in Healthcare but not all deals are the same kind, nor are they trying to fix the same problems... For example a merger between CVS and Aetna are trying to reduce overall spending with in their care delivery ‘supply chain.’ However, ‘employer activists’ like Amazon/JP Morgan/Berkshire Hathaway are trying to reduce total cost of Care through purchaser power... Of course the ‘technology invaders (not my term and I don’t care for it)’ understand consumer engagement and well, technology! Interesting short read...
