as many c- bankers and global finance luminaries (including BIS, IMF) are adding their voices to the chorus of centra bank digital currencies support (wholesale or retail focused), i believe we are nearing the end of the PR signaling phase and will soon enter a consensus-driven exploratory phase (feasibility studies, call for applications, POCs, beta projects) necessary to build towards eventual live projects. i mean consensus-driven because a few c-banks have undertaken their exploratory phases. these were the early would be adopters, but they were not supported by a broad consensus. how Libra has been received by c-banks, regulators & govts should be viewed within this broader context. how it will fare too. #centralbanks #banks #banking #cbdc #digital #Libra #regulators …see more
