My Professional Pet-Peeves: Ignoring Email Every one has their own list on what bugs them at work and the article below has several of the “standard” items (like don’t interrupt others). But for me, my top Pet-Peeve is when people do not return emails. They go “radio silence.” I understand not returning “sales pitch” email but thats not what I’m referring to here. I’m talking about someone you have had professional interactions with not acknowledging your email. How much effort is required to just return the email and say “not interested.” Or, “I’m busy now and can’t respond.” When you don’t reply to email it’s a reflection of who you are, not who I am.
