Pestering, Nudging or Noodging—it all seems to work. My grandmother used to pester me to wear a sweater when it's cold outside; to save my appetite for dinner or to look both ways when crossing the street . So I giggled at reading someone won a Noble Prize for recognizing what my grandmother—and probably yours have been doing forever —nudging or noodging or pestering people helps them to make the smart choice. Perhaps the solution for improving health care safety and quality is to hire all our grandparents and embed them in our hospitals, clinics and nursing homes! I'm 1000% sure they will make sure providers wash their hands and patients take their medications !
