I'm intrigued by ‘the promise of’ new technology, biotech science and emerging products within the healthcare space... However The promise of-and delivery of-basic, error-free, non-sexy primary care is still at a “C” grade. Why? Because there is still not a solution for enabling healthcare providers to see patients “as a whole person” over long periods of time. I'd like to issue a separate ‘moon shot’ challenge to all those at the conference : Create a unified patient “narrative platform “ that allows providers across Care settings to have patient specific information, and which allows for frictionless communication and knowledge exchange....(and it's not the EHR) Only after the above is completed can we then look to behavior change and social determinants, gene splicing etc, If we are truly interested in moving entire populations towards better health .
