I want to thank Google and Amazon for entering the patient-end of healthcare. I know loads of companies trying to break into the "back end" with technology applications and the like but it takes real corporate bravery to enter the "front door" where doctors, patients and nurses are staring you down! Me? I love it and giggle at the thought of how many healthcare providers and hospital systems will be annoyed because 'these companies are trying to practice medicine.' And, incidentally might migrate patients away from them.... But that's NOT why I love it--I love this because healthcare insiders won't change and the change must come from outsiders...and Lord knows, we need change--if it's an improvement ... because we all know that not all change is an improvement , but all improvement requires change! …see more
