I've done 50 keynotes in the last 6 months so I’m reflecting a bit on what keynotes will be like in the new “never normal”. My take so far: Virtual keynotes don’t work at large expos with 1,000s of people and exhibitors. At such events, we’d like to immerse ourselves in a different world. We’d like to see and experience the venue, thus bringing such events to a single screen (with break-out rooms or not) is a complete waste. Whereas it’s not worth organizing events in the physical space with 150 attendees or less. I believe these won’t be coming back and I’d strongly agree there’s no need. I can’t wait to hop on a plane for large-scale events all over the world, but I’ll be happy to continue giving smaller keynotes from the comfort and professionality of my new studio: it’s cozier, it creates a more honest environment and I even get better questions! What’s your take about events in the new never normal? #themedicalfuturist #digitalhealth #future #healthcare #medicine #technology #speaker #keynote #speakerlife
