This is a completely wrong assumption, as usual. The article argues that a large percent of the work psychologists do can get simply replaced by A.I. Assessment of a client’s strengths and difficulties and designing interventions are simply made by algorithms and the authors assume that psychologists are just there to share the results of the machine. Such narratives are not only false but even dangerous. If healthcare professionals (wrongly) think that advanced technology is here to replace them, they will reject those even more. While in fact, such technologies will support what professionals do and only replace the repetitive components of their job.
