When I like something I have read or heard, I ask myself why I like it. Is it because what they said ‘resonated’, made intuitive sense? Do I have confirmation bias? Or do appreciate their perspective, irrespective of whether I agree with their conclusion? Is it because the author/speaker is ‘successful’, rich, famous...for that topic? For an unrelated topic? But I had already defined the measure of my success as ‘being happy’, being able to control my time, being able to sleep well. What do I know about them being happy?
