NEVER accept complacency and the "We've always done it this way" mentality. That type of thinking does nothing other than choke innovation and induce a race to bankruptcy. Whether you're an upstart company challenging an incumbent industry giant, or an individual contributor wondering why something still works the way it does when in reality it doesn't "work" at all anymore, always challenge the status quo.
