If not a global pandemic, what more is needed before we finally start saying "This is not OK and we need to fix homelessness NOW??" It is NOT compassionate to let people sleep in encampments, on the street, in filthy, unsanitary, deplorable conditions, exacerbated by crime and drug epidemics. It is NOT compassionate to turn our heads, walk around bodies on the ground, and make it someone else's problem for another day.
