My first interaction with Mark VanAntwerp was in 2010, where we found ourselves arguing in a hallway for 30 minutes about thread safety for device to services code and stateless monitoring. I'm not sure who won the argument, but we'll just go with me to be safe :). Since then, I've been fortunate to know Mark as a stellar technical leader, awesome father and husband, and good movie buddy and personal friend.
