Someone asked once me why the folks in my org are more vocal than others when it comes to highlighting when something is wrong from a product, professional or management perspective. My answer was simple: "It's because I teach them it's the right thing to do, and encourage them to be vocal when things don't align with company values or personal/professional expectations."
