Have a look at this shocker on a Escape Door, I truly believe we should now be treating Access control but certainly on Fire and Escape doors in a similar way as fire. A design Cert, install Cert and commissioning Cert and only by competent persons with at least a basic understanding of the Construction Products Regulation, BSEN1634, BSEN179 BSEN1125 and of building regs, relevant approved documents as well as the FRA and implications with other standards and guidance such as BS5839 and BS7273 which should not be read in isolation.
