I’ve just read something on FB that made me think. Who was your influential teacher. It doesn’t have to be just one or only from school. I suppose the who and why are the important bits. Mine are: Mrs Allsop - she taught me as a junior but importantly she taught me to read books. Not read but to read books (I need to do More) because she read to us at the end of every day from the classics with fond memories. My brother who is no Longer with us but who taught me some of the practical skills that have stayed with me for life and that you are not limited by your start in life. A colleague Ken Kneale who very early in my career taught me basics of CCTV but also converted me from this straight line engineer to a thinker outside the box and as an apprentice Steven Howarth who is still the best engineer at hiding cables in the business. My friend and best man Neil Hussey who brought me out of myself. And current colleagues Patrick Jefferies Dip GAI James Harvey Duncan Rigby FBLI Roy Buckingham Dip.GAI Reg.AI M.InstAI Rory Grant Pip Courcoux That I’m still learning at 51 but I also hope I’ve had some influence with people I’ve worked with in the past and present.
