It's no secret that digital distraction can get in the way of spending quality time with others. Here's how to deal with it 👇 Most people already understand that using their gadgets in an intimate social setting is rude...but there’s always that one person who just can’t seem to help but use their device anyway. So what’s the best way to get that person off the phone? A subtle tactic is required. The goal is to snap that person out of the phone zone and to give him two options: either excuse themselves to attend to whatever crisis is happening or put away the tech. So here's what you do: Ask them a question 💡 Posing a direct question does the person a favor by pulling him back into the present while sending a clear message. "I noticed you were on your phone. Is everything okay?” If there really is an emergency, the person can excuse themselves, but more often than not, they'll tuck their phone back into their pocket and get back to enjoying the night.
