The real problem with workplace distraction is that we can’t TALK about the problem of workplace distraction. People feel like they can’t speak up. If they voice their concerns about constant interruptions at work, unnecessary meetings, and an “always-on” culture, they’ll be seen as lazy and like they aren’t team players. Now imagine the alternative. Imagine an environment where people feel free to voice their concerns, explain how they can be more productive, and are open about their issues. In that work environment, you can solve problems a lot faster and a lot more effectively. This is the issue. We can’t talk about workplace distraction.
