What are some helpful tools to stay indistractable while working? I’ve long been a vocal advocate of timboxing -- the practice of planning out exactly what you’re going to do and for how long you’re going to do it. But as anybody who has worked in an hectic work environment knows, this is easier said than done. Schedules conflict. Meetings come up. Miscommunications happen. This is also why I recommend schedule syncing. Talk to your boss or team at the beginning of each week and explain, “this is how I’ve scheduled my time and these are the things I’m working on this week.” This will allow you all to agree on your schedule or rework it if needed, it’ll eliminate costly mixups, and it’ll help everybody stay indistractable.
