Self-improvement apps like Remente often go beyond screen-level engagement with their users. These apps persuade people to take real actions beyond the technology that shape their long-term behaviors. Companies worldwide are leveraging behavioral insights into apps like these to bridge the intention-action gap. By doing so, they are helping people get closer to their ideal "future selves." But how? Here's how: -The first session of usage is designed to be a success. If we are not exposed to benefits during our very first experience, we will likely discontinue usage. -The next session is planned for. If retention-driving triggers are not set up initially, users will be less likely to return a second time, much less engage in real behavior change. -The benefits are tangible. What's challenging is that these benefits often take months to realize, but the better apps offer rewards as soon as Day 1. -They encourage (and reward) continued usage - aka maintenance of the behavior. -They acknowledge that the path isn't linear. Instead, progress is framed as a series of steps. Share some great self-improvement apps you have used in the comments below! #Hooked #Indistractible #BehaviorChange #SelfImprovement
