Verily Life Sciences launched Coefficient Insurance last week. So Google takes a hand in the health insurance business too. As Google knows literally everything about us, we can imagine what advantages it has in risk management. What concerns me more is how the future of health insurance looks like where our provider has all our health data from search inquiries to our fitness trackers (Fitbit's been Google's for a year now). Tech giants are unavoidable actors in healthcare by now. This enables way more effective care, but we also have to be aware of unprecedented privacy issues.
