I've been reading science fiction books since I was 6. I have a few favorite authors such as Stanislaw Lem, Arthur C. Clarke or Ernest Cline. I read so many new books but it rarely happens that an author surprises me, not to say that he or she becomes my favorite author. But man, I finally got a hold on Ted Chiang's Stories of Your Life and Others and it's like I have been looking for his writings all along. Mind-blowingly fresh, deep and scientific.
