Pandemic and Protests: What is the Next "P" Word? I can't help but note that just when one thought the world could not be crazier, it becomes crazier. Just when I think we have experienced enough trauma to last us several life times, we have new trauma and a retriggering of older trauma. I actually remember the LA riots; images redound. So, what's the next "P" to befall us? Will it be another terrible thing -- as in bad things come in threes? When I raised this with someone today, they suggested the next P word should be "Peace." I hope he's right. Sadly, my mind thinks poverty and PTS and policing and politics and paranoia. What happened to words in my head like panacea and pulchritude? Gone. Think peace. Think pacifist.
