I just had my first ever FIDE match which I fortunately won. It was also my first classical format game and it was a real thrill. Since I started working with a FIDE chess trainer last November, I've trained for over 2 hours every day. My theory was that by doing this, I could understand A.I. algorithms better. What I have definitely learnt over this period is to respect what algorithms can achieve more. If that's the only outcome of my chess journey, it's already worth it.
