This is the figure Adam Moroncsik made for me to be able to present the concept of superpatients to a group of selected diabetes patients in Lisbon. I first heard the term from Dave deBronkart who I know is working on a book too about the topic. Superpatients, in my understanding, are patients who become patient scholars, can influence policies and regulations and in general lead the movement of digital health to create real partnerships with their physicians. By Dave's definition, superpatients are patients who extend science when all other options are gone.
