I just watched the analysis of the final game in the top computer chess competition where Leela Zero (an open source chess program based on #AlphaZero ) beat Stockfish. As someone who spends 2-3 hours every day learning chess, it's incredible to see a program play such a beautiful game. Imagine how amazed the world's best diagnosticians will be when they have to analyze how a reinforcement learning-based algorithm cured a patient or solved a case. They will have to find out how the algorithm came to a solution by itself without studying medicine but by mining an awful amount of data. That is going to be the real era of the art of medicine!
