Here is another study concluding that an A.I.-based algorithm and physicians working together achieve the best efficiency even in eye care. Ten ophthalmologists were asked to read each image once under one of three conditions: unassisted, grades only, and grades + heat map. They found that A.I. and physicians working together can be more accurate than either alone.
