Attention employers and benefits managers! I am a caregiver and just spent the past 2 hours on the telephone with Medicare and a supplemental insurance company (starts with an M ends with a A) because said insurance company didn't disenroll my mother when she moved to another state 4 months ago. I called to let them know of the move when it occurred as well as notifying Medicare and SSA. Now her doctor is unable to see her unless she pays out of her own pocket because this supplemental plan is an obstacle and preventing her from getting the new plan in her new state. Her medication is necessary to prevent her from having additional strokes. I can't put this off or deal with it tomorrow.
