To all my colleagues and friends internationally who continually ask "What is happening in America?" and "Why don't you come back to France?" I say, we are working on it. Don't lose faith in us as people. We are more than the political discourse and those who are speaking the loudest aren't necessarily representing the majority with their voice. There are hard problems to fix that have been problems for generations and efforts to keep those problems hidden or minimized have been fierce.
