Today I remember my uncle Kenneth who shared his account of this incredible day. A day where the very best of who we are as a nation, showed up and joined forces with our French allies to fight against a foe that threatened all humanity. They put aside differences of religion, opinion, politics and found a courage within themselves that most of us find difficult to fathom. I pray the memory of this day and those who sacrificed so very much, can remind us of who we really are when we are at our very best.
