I am attending and speaking at the Trauma Sensitive School conference in Washington DC. Amazing attendees who work hard with children who are traumatized. And we need to do something now — these students are not rare; we need to change our school culture. @tss2019ATN. Punishment isn’t the answer. It isn’t about fixing kids who are broken; our system is broken and we need to understand our students;we need to develop trust and attachment. We need the soil in which folks can grow and flourish.
